Rod Dawg takes fishing to the next level with the first-ever pivoting rod rack that stores eight ready-to-use rods on your boat without tangling - getting you on the water in record time. Being fishermen themselves, Co-founders Brandon and Jim realized the need for this product after being fed up with pulling rods out of storage, putting them together and losing valuable time on the water. The Rod Dawg allows you to have eight lines with lures ready to use when you arrive at the shore. This custom-built, pivoting rod rack made out of marine-grade aluminum alloy allows you to maximize your time spent fishing.
And it’s easy to use! Set your rods up at home, lay the rod rack flat on the boat while traveling to your fishing hole, launch your boat into the water and tilt the Rod Dawg rack up when ready to drop a line. Holding up to eight rods, there is no need for any set up. Rod Dawg mounts to any flat surface and is easily customizable to fit any fisherman’s needs. Start saving time and cast a line. Let’s get fishing!

A passionate fisherman, Brandon has been competing in professional fishing tournaments since the age of 17. He can be found fishing for bass, walleye, salmon, and anything that swims inland and in the Great Lakes. In 2016, he won the Keweenaw Bay Classic Salmon tournament, thanks to the Rod Dawg which allowed him to be set up the night before the tournament. As a competitive fisherman, Brandon knows the importance of being prepared: “The most frustrating thing about fishing is the lost time taking rods from storage to get set up and stepping on rods that are on the floor of the boat due to lack of space.” He realized the need for a durable, pivoting rod rack that requires zero set-up when you get into the water and easy storage for when you’re not fishing. Using his product, Rod Dawg, he can have his lures set and ready to go, hitting the water right when he pulls up for a tournament.
Jim is a Fabrication Shop Designer and Foreman at MJ Electric in Iron Mountain. Looking for an opportunity to combine his welding background and passion for fishing, he was excited about the idea of partnering with Brandon on Rod Dawg. Taking his vision and bringing it to life, Jim designed the pivoting rod rack to be durable, travel well on the road, and withstand stress from waves and wind. You can find Jim using Rod Dawg on Lake Superior catching walleye, muskie, and anything else that swims his way.
